  • Hunza Valley is a mountainous valley near Gilgit in the Northern Areas of Pakistan. The Hunza valley is situated at an elevation of 2,438 metres (7,999 feet). The territory of Hunza is about 7,900 km² . Karimabad (Baltit) is the main town which is also a very popular tourist destination in Pakistan because of the spectacular scenery of the surrounding mountains like Rakaposhi, Ultar Sar, Bojahagur Duanasir II, Ghenta Peak, Hunza Peak, Darmyani Peak, and Bublimating (Ladyfinger Peak), all 6,000 m (19,685 ft) or higher.
    The valley is popularly believed to be the inspiration for the mythical valley of Shangri-la in James Hilton's 1933 novel Lost Horizon. As one travels up on the Karakoram Highway, the beautiful sceneries keep on revealing themselves. On the way one can witness the 65 km long 'Batura' glacier, the second longest in Pakistan, surround by Shishper, Batura and Kumpirdior peaks. On reaching Sost one can continue the journey up to Khunzhrav or turn west to witness the mystic beauty of Chipursan (also Chapursan) valley. Chipursan valley has some of most exotic tourist spots in the area. In Yarzerech (also Yarzirich) you can have a look at the majestic Kundahill peak (6000 m), or trek along the Rishepzhurav to the Kundahill to experience the soothing sceneries. Beyond Yarzerech you can travel further to Lupghar, Raminj, Reshit, Yishkuk up to Bobo Ghundi (Oston), the shrine of Baba-e-Ghund, a saint from Afghanistan near the border between Pakistan and Wakhan region of Afghanistan.
    Passu has two beautiful glaciers, known as Passu glacier and Batura glacier, these are the longest glaciers in Pakistan. It also has very nice area for Trekking. Passu, provide comfortable and safe camping site to tourists.
    Borit Lake is very small but very famous despite its green color. 
    Batura 
    has been taken from a Brushuski word (Bat-Tur) language of central hunza "Bat" means skin and "Tur" means horns. In ancient times, there were many ibex (mountain goats) which were hunted by snow leopards or killed by avalanche. When Bruskin men came to the area, they found many skins and horns, in and around the glacier, that they said "Bat Tur" . Later on, it became Batur and now a - days Batura. Batura has the following Pasture.
    SOST: The last village on the KKH as it passes on to Khunjerab Pass and then into China. Sost is the Pakistani immigration and customs post at about 2700m from sea level. 
    Attabad Lake is a lake in Hunza Valley in northern (Gilgi-Baltistan) Pakistan. The lake was created by a landslide which happened in the village of Attabad on 4th January 2010. It buried and inundated the Karakoram Highway and blocked the flow of the Hunza River for five months. It inundated over 12 miles (19 km) of the Karakoram Highway.

     


  • Day 1 Islamabad
    Arrive at Islamabad. Transfer to hotel. Evening city tou of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 2 Islamabad - Besham
    Early morning departure to Besham. Rest of the day free. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 3 Besham - Gilgit
    Early morning departure to .Gilgit. Rest of the day free. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 4 Karimabad (HUNZA)
    Next day drive to the Hunza, the land of longevity. Passing through the most exciting parts of the KKH. Viewing Rakaposhi Peak. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 5 Karimabad (HUNZA)
    Spend the whole day visiting bazzaars and local shops. Also visit the 800 year old Baltit Fort. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 6 Karimabad - Passu
    Travel via boat to Gulmit valley over Attabad Lake. Transfer to vehicle. And drive on to Passu. Overnight at Passu.
    Day 7 Passu - Khunjerab - Sost
    Drive to Khunjerab via Sost. The KKH continues near the Pak-China border. Return back to Sost fro overnight at hotel.
    Day 8 Sost- Hunza - Gilgit
    Once again boating over Attabad Lake, travel to Hunza, then transfer to vehicles and drive to Gilgit. The KKH continues back to Gilgit. Overnight at hotel.
    Day 9 Gilgit - Islamabad - Destination
    Earling morning drive to Islamabad. Via KKH or using Babusar Pass route we stop at Islamabad. Overnight at hote or drop at hotel for flight to destination..
