Hunza Tour

For centuries and centuries Hunza was almost cut off from the rest of the world. When contact was made with the British, the ruler of Hunza explained the emissary of Her Majesty that in his vision there were four great Empires in the world: that of China, that of England, that of Russia and that of the Valley of Hunza. (He forgot to mention one of the great empires ever excited on the face of the earth that was "Saltanat-e-Usmania, "Ottomans Empire". That was the starting point of modern science and the modern civilization).Passu has two beautiful glaciers, known as Passu glacier and Batura glacier, these are the longest glaciers in Pakistan. It also has very nice area for Trekking. Passu, provide comfortable and safe camping site to tourists.Borit Lake is very small but very famous despite its green color. Batura has been taken from a Brushuski word (Bat-Tur) language of central hunza "Bat" means skin and "Tur" means horns. In ancient times, there were many ibex (mountain goats) which were hunted by snow leopards or killed by avalanche. When Bruskin men came to the area, they found many skins and horns, in and around the glacier, that they said "Bat Tur" . Later on, it became Batur and now a - days Batura. Batura has the following Pasture.SOST: The last village on the KKH as it passes on to Khunjerab Pass and then into China. Sost is the Pakistani immigration and customs post at about 2700m from sea level.
