In Pakistan the Snow Leopard (uncia uncia )is found in the high mountains of the Karakoram and the Hindukush. There are mainly found in Baltistan, Chitral, Gilgit, Upper Swat Valley, the Slopes of Nanga Parbat, Khunjerab National Park and the Chitral Gol National Park. The total population of the snow leopards in Pakistan is 100-200. This splendid tour takes you to the mountains of the Karakoram, the home land of the great snow leopard. Pakistan is blessed with wild life and snow leopard is no exception. The tour takes you to very remote areas and thus may require short hikes/treks. This is a wonderful photographic expedition and is sure to make a good collection of Photographs for the traveler after a wonderful trip.
Our main travel area will be Khunjerab National Park, close to Pakistan-China border. Here we have the maximum chance of finding the snow leopard in its natural habitat. The park is part of conservation project and thus we may also be escorted by a local scout who will have great knowledge of natural habitat of the snow leopard.

Itinerary
Day 1 Islamabad - Rawalpindi
Arrive at Islamabad. Transfer to hotel. Evening city tour of Islamabad and rawalpindi.Overnight at hotel.
Day 2 Islamabad - Besham
Drive on the KKH towards our Besham. This is a wonderful drive on the Karakoram Highway. Enroute we shall be visiting stone carvings at chilas. Pass by view points of Nanga Parbat and Rakaposhi peaks. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 Besham - Hunza
Continue our drive on to the valley of Hunza. This will be our stop for the day. Transfer to hotel. evening walks to local bazaar. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 Hunza - Khunjerab
Early morning visit to Alti and Baltit forts before leaving to Khunjerab National Park. The drive takes us on the ancient silk route and close to Pakistan - China border. We shall spend rest of the day visiting Khunjerab National Park. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5 Khunjerab
Spend the day in Khunjerab National Park, hiking around to find the snow leopard (uncia uncia). Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 Khunjerab
Same as day 5
Day 7 Khunjerab - Karimabad (HUNZA)
Today we decided to leave if we are lucky enough to have done watching the snow leopard in the previous three day. Drive to Hunza. Overnight at hotel.
Day 8 Hunza - Chilas
Early morning departure to Chilas. Spend rest of the day visiting Chilas and ancient stone sciptures of Chilas. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 Chilas - Islamabad
Continue the drive on to Islamabad. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 Islamabad - Destination
Flight to destination.
