The legendary voyage along the Godwin-Austen Glacier leading to Concordia—the "Throne Room of Mountain Gods"—where K2 (8,611m), Broad Peak (8,047m), and the Gasherbrum summits meet. This is a sustained high-altitude wilderness trek designed for regular trekkers in good physical shape.
Arrive at Islamabad International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Administrative briefing at the Ministry of Tourism in Islamabad. Overnight at hotel.
Fly to Skardu. In case of flight cancellation due to weather, we drive along the iconic Karakoram Highway (KKH) to Chilas. Overnight at hotel.
Complete road drive to Skardu (if driving) or rest and acclimatize in Skardu city. Gear checks. Overnight at motel.
Rugged 4x4 jeep ride to Askole (6-7 hours), the final village roadhead before the glacier wilderness. Overnight at campsite.
Trek along the roaring Braldu River valley to Julah camp (6-7 hours). Overnight at campsite.
Hike through narrow rocky paths to reach Paiju (7-8 hours) at the foot of the Baltoro Glacier. Overnight at campsite.
Porters bake flatbread for the high glacier crossing. Free day to rest and explore. Overnight at campsite.
Step onto the massive lateral moraines of Baltoro Glacier. Trek to Khuburchi (6-7 hours). Overnight at campsite.
Hike along the edge of the glacier to Urdukas (5-6 hours) overlooking spectacular granite peaks. Overnight at campsite.
Trek onto the glacier ice to reach Goro II (6-7 hours) with Masherbrum (7,821m) rising in the distance. Overnight tent camp on glacier ice.
Hike to Concordia junction (6-7 hours) to stand in the "Throne Room of Mountain Gods" facing K2 and Broad Peak. Overnight at campsite.
Excursion trek heading to K2 Base Camp (Godwin-Austen Glacier) and the Gilkey Memorial. Return to Concordia. Overnight at campsite.
Trek southwards along the Upper Baltoro Glacier to Ali Camp (5-6 hours). Overnight at campsite.
Midnight start. Climb up the steep slope of Gondogoro Pass. Navigate crevasses on fixed ropes, cross the pass, and descend safely to Gondogoro Base Camp / High Camp (7-8 hours). Overnight at campsite.
Extra climbing day reserved for bad weather or option to ascend Gondogoro Peak (5,700M) for panoramic views of all four 8,000m summits. Overnight at campsite.
Trek down through rocky trails out of the glacier zone to Dalsangapa (5-6 hours). First vegetation in many days. Overnight at campsite.
Follow the river through green pasture valleys down to Siacho camp (5-6 hours). Warm weather. Overnight at campsite.
Trek 3-4 hours to Hushe village, where 4x4 jeeps await. Drive 6-7 hours back to Skardu. Hot showers and soft beds. Overnight at hotel.
Drive back along the Indus River gorges to Chilas (8-9 hours). Overnight at hotel.
Drive back to Islamabad (10-12 hours) via Abbottabad/Karakoram highway. Overnight at hotel.
Hold final debriefing session with the Ministry of Tourism in Islamabad. Drop at airport for onward flights home.
